Confident Barry Ferguson reckons the end of transfer season will only help Rangers after a lack of player "focus" during the window.
The Premiership champions had a quiet end to the window with Steven Gerrard moving on fringe players while keeping big hitters like Alfredo Morelos, Borna Barisic and Ryan Kent at Ibrox.
Most of Gerrard and Ross Wilson's business with Fashion Sakala, Nnamdi Ofoborh, John Lundstram and Juninho Bacuna added to the first-team.
Ferguson rubbished concerns over income at the club, telling the The Go Radio Football Show that the firm stance on outgoings shows they have plenty of cash to spare.
The former Rangers skipper said: "They would have sold if they had to.
"Stewart Robertson has said that they will need to sell, that is the structure going forward, with one or two assets.
"With Douglas Park, they have a real top businessman in charge, and if they were desperate they would sell.
"That tells me that they ain't, and that they are still getting enough money coming in from the Europa League.
"Also, with the games are going to be at home they are making enough money.
"It will be a bit different next summer, even if they do make it into the Champions League. You will see maybe one or two go; there will be a slight turnover in players."
When discussing key men like Alfredo Morelos, Ferguson chimed in: "I think the noise that has been going about the likes of Morelos, Kent; now these guys can now focus."
Ferguson was pressed if he though focus had been an issue for the players so far, adding: "It may play a part.
"They watch Sky Sports News, they are on social media, and they will see all noise that there is clubs interested in them.
"It will affect them to a certain point. Now they can forget about that.
"They next window isn't for another four months, so they can focus on the most important thing, getting back to top form and playing football again."
