John Souttar makes Leon Balogun Rangers contract claim amid future uncertainty
He was quizzed on his future ahead of Rangers' game against Dundee United tomorrow evening: "There's always going to be speculation," he said.
"The update on myself - that's going to remain private.
"But I'm sure you'll see, over the course of the next few days, hopefully there's going to be a bit of movement.
"I've mentioned a number of times it has to be moving in terms of who's going to be manager.
"So, hopefully in the next few days, we'll be clear on what's going to happen.
"Over the coming days, especially in the next week, I'm sure you'll see something moving forward."
Elsewhere, John Souttar has outlined his desire to see Leon Balogun extend his stay at Rangers beyond the end of the season.
The Nigerian's Ibrox deal expires at the end of this month, although his fellow central defender wants him to stick around: "Leon [Balogun] has done a great job this season, and it would be great to see him next year," he said.
"He is a senior figure in the changing room, along with James Tavernier, he's a great person to have and we need senior figures like him in the squad."
