Barry Ferguson blasts Rangers 'minority' who ruined title party as he admits 'disappointment' at fighting

Barry Ferguson admits he was left gutted by the scenes at George Square on Saturday and was left baffled by supporters fighting each other.

The Rangers legend couldn't believe what he was seeing when he discovered some fans were fighting with each other in George Square after the last day of the season.

Thousands of supporters marched from Ibrox into Glasgow City centre to celebrate the success of their club but the situation turned nasty later in the night.

Ferguson reckons alcohol is to blame for a lot of the issues but admits he can't understand the mentality of the fans who were fighting with each other.

He was confused at how they could do so instead of celebrating Steven Gerrard's success with the club.

He told Go Radio: "What disappointed me is, fighting among each other.

"It's your club, your club have just won the championship for the first time in a long, long time, it baffles me why they want to fight among each other.

"Listen, it is far too much drink, that's the reason.

"As I said, it's a small minority who ruin it for everybody else who just want to go and do things properly."
