Barry Douglas shows off what the sleep pods at Leeds United's training ground are really like

Sleeping and recovery has long gone hand in hand with Marcelo Bielsa’s training regimes, whichever club he has coached at.

At Lille he famously had several cabins erected at the training ground for his players to sleep in, while last summer at Leeds United he commissioned sleep pods for the players.

Little was officially communicated on the sleeping arrangements at Thorp Arch, but across the season, through various interviews, more and more information about the pods emerged.

Now, after starting pre-season yesterday, Barry Douglas has taken his followers inside one of the sleep pods at Thorp Arch on Instagram.

It is the first glimpse the wider world has had of what the pods actually look like at the training ground.

Earlier on Tuesday, head of medicine and performance Rob Price confirmed the Scottish left-back had fully recovered the medial knee ligament injury he suffered last term.
