Barrowfield police incident: man rushed to hospital after serious assault

A man was rushed to hospital after being seriously assaulted in Barrowfield in the east end of Glasgow.

Emergency services swooped on the scene near Celtic Park last night following reports of the man being injured on Law Street, having been attacked in Overtown Street.

The 33-year-old is currently being treated in hospital where staff describe his condition as stable.

Officers have launched an investigation following the assault.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told Glasgow Live: "Around 5pm on Saturday, November 30, officers were called to a report of a man injured on Law Street, Glasgow after being seriously assaulted in Overtown Street.

"The 33 year-old man was taken to hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.

"Hospital staff describe his condition as stable.

"Anyone with information should contact officers through 101 quoting reference number 2666 of 30th November."
