Barrie McKay in career change tease as former Rangers star debuts daring new look

Former Rangers star Barrie McKay has revealed the development of an unusual new skill after he shared an image of himself enjoying a hairdressing tutorial.

The Swansea City winger debuted his own new daring top knot hairstyle after reaching for bleach ahead of the new season.

Hair Education UK tagged McKay learning his new craft and showing his new skills being put into practice.

The 25-year-old - who spent last season on loan at Joey Barton 's Fleetwood - has reportedly been told to find a new club alongside former Rangers teammate Declan John.

Swansea boss Steve Cooper is looking to freshen his squad up ahead of the Championship season as they missed out on promotion after their playoff semi-final defeat to Brentford.

Record Sport understands the Scotland international is recovering from a hamstring injury and could leave South Wales on a loan deal.

McKay, who departed Rangers for Nottingham Forest in 2017, lifted the lid earlier this summer on the Pedro Caixinha behind the scenes acrimony fans didn't know.

He said: "With Caixinha, I just think he didn't like me.

"He stopped playing me and pulled me to the side to ask why I hadn't signed a new contract.

"I said: 'Well, you're not playing me. So how can I commit to that?' I could commit long-term — then I don't play.

"He said to me: 'Well, if you don't sign, then you will never play for me'.

"You can't really believe all that they say and when results weren't great, he was back to me before the end of the season telling me he needed me.

"That was fine. It's not as if I was going to throw in the towel. He's the manager and picks the team. I played the last four games and scored a couple of goals.

"So I never really thought about leaving. Then, on holiday in Tenerife, my agent rang to say: 'You'll never guess, Rangers are trying to sell you'.

"I said: 'What do you mean? They were offering me a new contract a few months ago!' But they'd got another agent going about clubs to try and get me out."
