A person barricaded himself inside a hotel Tuesday in Boystown on the North Side.
Officers responded to calls of a disturbance about 11:30 p.m. at a building in the 3400 block of North Broadway, Chicago police said. When they arrived, they found a male barricaded inside the Hawthorne Terrace Best Western at 3434 N. Broadway who refused to leave.
SWAT teams were called to the scene, police said. Hours later at about 4:50 a.m., officers on the scene confirmed the situation had been resolved.
The person was taken to an area hospital for a mental evaluation, police said.
