Scottish entrepreneur Michelle Mone has unveiled her first collaborative business venture with her husband Doug Barrowman - an £18m investment into a hybrid workplace concept.
Neospace aims to blend premium office space, hospitality and wellness, using technology. It will create 78 private offices, 20 co-working 'flexi pods' and nine meeting rooms, all supported by additional breakout spaces and collaboration hubs.
The 55,000 sq foot flagship site is located in Aberdeen, with a day pass costing £30 per day and a premium desk coming in at £450 per month.
The company will be offering flexible membership plans rather than long-term fixed leases for business, with the emphasis being on desks rather than square footage.
It will also include gym access, with a timetable of instructor-led exercise classes, a TrackMan golf simulator, steam and sauna rooms.
The premises will have keyless access and an app to book meeting rooms. Members will be provided fast fibre broadband for more than 500 workstations and meeting rooms ready for virtual conferencing.
Barrowman, commented: “Our vision with neospace was to create a next-generation work space to support different working patterns, but - more importantly - to support a fulfilling work environment where health and well-being has equal standing.
“Following the pandemic, no one-size-fits all and that’s the strength of neospace; the space is supremely flexible and designed to be built around individual needs, presenting them with the right space at the right time.”
Mone added: “There is a real lethargy around home working, around zoom calls, around working in silos; people are desperate to get back to work and to see people, but not necessarily in the traditional way - five days a week in a big office space.
"What we have tried to do with Neospace is to create a community where ‘work life’ and ‘real life’ collide - ultimately, a multi-use environment where individuals and businesses can work, rest and play, all under one roof.”
