Baron Browning says Broncos are focused on going 1-0 after bye

After a big upset win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 8, the Denver Broncos immediately went into their bye week.

Would it have been better to have a game the following week to keep up the momentum they established on Sunday?

“I’m not ever going to question a bye week,” outside linebacker Baron Browning said. “Any time we get some downtime, just a mental break really quick in the middle of the season and get back together, that’s a blessing.”

The Broncos are now 3-5 and facing an uphill climb to get back into the postseason hunt. Browning said the team will take it one game at a time.

“I feel like each week we are just trying to go 1-0,” Browning said. “We don’t even think about our record. This week we went 1-0 so when we come back from the bye week, we are just going to try and go 1-0.”

Browning, 24, totaled four tackles, three quarterback hits, two sacks and a forced fumble against the Chiefs last week. He’ll look to continue that productive pace in the second half of the season once Denver returns from its bye in Week 10.
