Nottingham Forest have Barnsley man Callum Styles on their "radar" as they build a squad for the Premier League.
The 22-year-old left-sided midfielder has been a previous target for the Reds having reportedly made a move for him in January.
Styles has been one of the Tykes' stand-out players over the last two seasons, including this term when he scored three goals and contributed two assists in 46 appearances across all competitions as they were relegated to League One.

According to the Yorkshire Post, Styles is on the radars of Hungarian side Ferencvaros as well as Forest and other Premier League sides. Styles, a Hungarian international through his grandmother's roots, featured for his adopted country as a substitute in England's 1-0 defeat in Budapest on Saturday (June 4). It was Styles’ third cap for the Magyars.
The Post claim that Styles' newfound international status, along with Barnsley's relegation to League One, means he has found himself placed in the shop window ahead of the summer market opening. He has been told by the Tykes that he is free to find a new club having turned down offers from Nottingham Forest and Blackburn Rovers in January.
Styles has at least one familiar face at the City Ground through the Reds' chief executive Dane Murphy. The Forest chief held the same position at Barnsley.
Styles said: "I spoke with the CEO and he accepts it is time for a new challenge. I’m fortunate because we’ve not only got England twice this month but also Italy and Germany. Playing for England never happened for me but now I’m an international and, fingers crossed, the next three games might lead me to a Premier League club."
The Reds did some good business during the winter transfer window, making five signings as Keinan Davis, Steve Cook, Richie Laryea, Sam Surridge and Jonathan Panzo all put pen to paper. They missed out on a number of other targets, however, having looked to strengthen out wide, in particular. Bids were rebuffed for Millwall’s Jed Wallace and Blackpool’s Josh Bowler.
