Barney Walsh's new former Miss World girlfriend and how they met at his surprising job

Barney Walsh has been a revelation ever since he first popped up on our screens alongside his famous dad.

The 24-year-old, who is the son of The Chase host Bradley Walsh and his choreographer wife Donna Derby, had This Morning viewers swooning when he was interviewed on the show in 2019.

Since then, Barney has become almost as popular as his funnyman dad thanks to their hilarious series Bradley & Barney Walsh: Breaking Dad, which is back on ITV tonight for a fourth series.

But when the father and son duo are not facing extreme challenges all over the world, what does Barney get up to?

We all know that dad Bradley is busy hosting The Chase, but his son has an even more glamorous job.

Barney spends his days jetting around the world and hanging out with supermodels, which is how he met his new girlfriend.

After months of speculation, Barney has 'confirmed' his relationship with Stephanie Del Valle Diaz.

Barney met the 25-year-old Puerto Rican beauty, who won the Miss World competition in 2016, while hosting the 2017 edition.

Since October 2017, Barney has worked as an ambassador for the Miss World pageant and taken part in charity events for their Beauty With A Purpose initiative.

He is frequently snapped hanging out with stunning models - but it's one in particular that has won his heart.

"The couple started out as mates," a source told The Sun. "They're now very loved-up and recently enjoyed a winter holiday to Portugal.

"They get on really well and know they’re both young in their careers so give each other space to pursue their dreams. This is set to be a big year for them."

Fans deduced the duo had gone 'Insta-official' when Stephanie shared a romantic sunset snap of herself posing alongside Barney.

The couple appeared to have their arms affectionately placed behind each other as they stood admiring the sun setting across the Atlantic Ocean while on a trip together in Europe.

This came almost a year after Stephanie shared a photo of herself posing with Barney beneath the Eiffel Tower, which was actually a throwback photo from their trip to Paris in 2017.

Stephanie became the second woman from Puerto Rico to win the Miss World contest and before that won Miss Mundo de Puerto Rico in 2016.

During the 2016 Miss World competition, Stephanie was asked what she would change about the world before winning the crown.

She replied: "If I have the opportunity to change something about the world, I think what I would do is send a message of how important it is to change exclusion for acceptance, to promote and provide justice for others, and the importance of helping those in need. Thank you."

But it's not just about beauty as Stephanie studies Law and Communication at Pace University in New York City and can speak three different languages - English, Spanish and French.

But it remains to be seen whether Stephanie will ever make an appearance with her boyfriend on Breaking Dad.

It was actually Barney who came up with the idea to go travelling around the world with his dad.

Explaining how the show came about in 2019, he said: "Basically I’ve been doing a lot of travelling this year making charity documentaries. The TV company said 'we'd love to see you do something with you dad'.

"Dad works so hard, doing The Chase and Dr Who, when he does get time off he just sits there watching telly."

Bradley was kept in the dark about most of the first trip and didn't realise he would have to drive their 36ft long vehicle.

"I said 'look here's the deal I'll go on a road trip with you providing you have this. I had a full list, a rider. Hobnobs, Digestives, British tea," he explained.

"I seriously had no idea. I thought they'd get a hire car or someone would drive the RV for 2,000 miles."

Barney is back tonight with dad Bradley in their RV for another epic adventure in a brand-new six-part series of their ITV show.

This time they are on a mission to explore what Europe has to offer, aiming to experience extremes from the fiery heat of the Mediterranean to the icy tundras of the Arctic Circle on their latest trip.

Barney remains determined to push his dad to the absolute limit with more thrill-seeking activities, whilst also immersing themselves in the local culture, sharing cosy dinners in the RV and making memories to last a lifetime.

This series the Walsh boys will begin by diving straight in, quite literally, on the beautiful island of Vis in Croatia - where they free dive down to a shipwreck.

From catamaran racing in Hungary, to taking in the Blue Danube and attempting escapology stunts, there is never a dull moment, despite Brad's best attempts to put his feet up.

Will Barney succeed in dragging Brad onto Europe's largest roller coaster in Poland and convince him to attempt a Bobsleigh track in the stunning Arctic mountains of Norway?
