A controversial blogger who took on the Mayor of Barnet in a standards dispute is a surprise candidate for the Liberal Democrats at next May's council elections.

That mayor was Brian Coleman. That blogger is the illustrious Roger Tichborne of Barnet Eye who, having forsaken the Labour Party, is now trying to foment orange revolt against the EasyBarnet Tories in another ward. His fellow Barnet blogger, dissident Conservative Don't Call Me Dave, is egging him on. Me too.
