Barnet 2-2 Woking player ratings: Ephron Mason-Clark the hero as Bees' late show rescues point

Barnet’s National League clash with Woking at The Hive finished 2-2 on Saturday, thanks to a late, late goal from Ephron Mason-Clark.

The visitors led 2-0 through goals from Ben Gerring and Mark Shelton, by Mauro Vilhete and substitute Ephron Mason-Clark, with a goal in the 97th minute, rescued a point for the Bees that originally seemed extremely far away.

Darren Currie's side, which showed two changes from last Tuesday’s defeat against Bromley, were down by two goals but rallied in a valiant second-half performance.

But how did each player perform? Reporter Callum Hibberd was on hand to assess the Barnet players.

Scott Loach - Could do nothing about either goal, made the necessary saves when called upon. 6

Cheye Alexander - Persevered down the right flank in attack, but ultimately lost Max Kretzschmar in the build-up to Woking’s second. 5

Ricardo Santos - Struggled with the pace of Woking’s attack in the first-half, as well as losing his marker for Woking’s first. 5

Callum Reynolds - Like his centre-back partner, struggled in the first half bu turned defence into attack well in the second-half to help his team rally. 5

Harry Taylor - Will have been disappointed not to have got forward more but grew into the game and featured in some of his team’s best moves. 6

Dan Sweeney - Quiet game overall but was involved in his team’s best moves. Needs to be more clinical. 6

Mauro Vilhete - Overrun frequently in midfield but ultimately bought his team back into the game with a great goal. 7

Charlee Adems - Chased shadows for much of the first half, and was taken off in the second as his team searched for a second. 5

David Tutonda - Substituted just after an hour after a quiet game. 5

Simeon Akinola - Linked up well with strike partner Josh Walker in parts but often lacked a final touch or pass. 6

Josh Walker - Should have scored early on but didn’t, which set the tone for a game he was marked out of by Woking’s Manny Parry. 5

Substitutes:

Ephron Mason-Clark - Barnet’s best player despite only playing 34 minutes. Ball was glued to his feet, provided multiple crosses that should’ve been converted before equalising himself at the very end. Changed the game. 8

Medy Elito - N/A

Alfie Pavey - N/Ai
