JAISALMER: Five women and two men were arrested by Barmer police busting a sex racket being run under the shield of a spa centre.
Barmer SP Anand Sharma said that police were getting complaints for quite some time now that prostitution was going on under the garb of spa and that it was continuously growing. Police were keeping a watch and on Wednesday, they reached the spa at a mall located on national highway and arrested the spa owner, a youth in objectionable position and five women called from outside for flesh trade, under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act (PITA Act).
Police team reached the spot and found a youth and a woman in objectionable position. Youth Yogesh Soni (30), a resident of Jalore and spa owner Tak (21), a resident of Nanan under Peepar city and five women were arrested under PITA Act and a case was lodged at Kotwali police station. The women hail from Delhi, Haryana and UP.
