Barking shooting: woman charged with firearms offence after man left fighting for his life

Police have charged a woman over a shooting in east London which left a man fighting for life.

Rushelle McLaughlin, 26, of Northolt, Middlesex, has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

It relates to an incident in which two men were injured in Barking almost two weeks ago.

She will appear at Barkingside Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

Met Police said they were called to Wilmington Gardens on June 4 to reports that a gun had been fired.

Officers arrived at the scene and found a 24-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds.

He remains in a critical condition in hospital, police said.

The second victim sustained non life-threatening injuries.
