Bargain shopping time: Best available free agents for Raiders as we enter second wave

Day three is underway and with it the second wave of free agency. There is still some good talent on the market. The Raiders should still have some money to spend and the longer some of these guys wait to be signed, the cheaper they get.

So far the Raiders have been busy. They have signed players at QB, TE, DI, ED, LB (2), CB, and S. They’ve spent a large chunk of the $55 million they had, though we don’t know yet exactly how much they have left because many new deals have not yet been released.

One position for the Raiders remains a glaring need that has not been addressed — wide receiver. But as I noted yesterday, there has been little to no movement at the position this free agency. That can’t last much longer. We’ll start there and move on to the areas that could use more talent with some thrifty shopping.

Wide receiver

Robby Anderson, 27
Emmanuel Sanders, 33
Breshad Perriman, 26

Running back

Carlos Hyde, 29
Lamar Miller, 29

Linebacker

Nick Vigil, 26
Mark Barron, 30
Alec Ogletree, 28

Safety

Damarious Randall, 27
Eric Reid, 28
Tony Jefferson, 28
