Today, Barchart released its July 2023 Yield and Production forecasts for Canadian Spring Wheat and Soybeans, which predicts yield above the AAFC's most recent forecast.
Barchart's forecasts for end-of-season yield are 54.5 (bu/ac) for Spring Wheat, which is 0.8 (bu/ac) above the AAFC's more recent forecast.
Due to an extended winter and subsequent waterlogged fields, the United States is experiencing a slow start to its spring wheat planting season. A Spring Wheat crop in Canada, the largest producer of spring wheat globally, could ease any potential shortages in the United States.
Barchart’s forecast for end-of-season yield is 45.0 (bu/ac) for Soybeans which is 0.2 (bu/ac) above the AAFC's most recent forecast.
Forecasts for Canadian Spring Wheat and Soybeans will be available for free to the public twice per month during the growing season, allowing users to identify areas of opportunity before traditional AAFC reports are released.
