Barcelona XI vs Real Valladolid: Confirmed early team news, predicted lineup, latest injuries for LaLiga

Barcelona will be without Ansu Fati, Arthur and Frenkie de Jong for their trip to Real Valladolid in LaLiga tonight.

Fati was sent off for a dangerous challenge just minutes after coming on as a half-time substitute in the 1-0 win over Espanyol on Wednesday and the 17-year-old attacker is suspended.

Meanwhile, Arthur missed training on Friday with tonsillitis and the Brazilian – who will move to Juventus in the summer – is not in the squad for the game at the Jose Zorrilla.

De Jong is still sidelined with a calf problem which has seen him miss the last six matches and coach Quique Setien said on Friday that the Dutch midfielder is not quite ready to return.

Defender Samuel Umtiti is out with a knee problem and Setien revealed in his pre-match press conference that he does not know when the Frenchman will return.

Winger Ousmane Dembele is still recovering from a long-term injury and is ineligible for LaLiga anyway after he was deregistered for the competition in February to allow Martin Braithwaite to arrive in an emergency transfer from Leganes.

Youngster Riqui Puig could start for Barca in midfield after Setien’s side struggled to break down Espanyol in a disappointing display earlier in the week.
