Barcelona warned off, celebrations and town - Everton fans react to Dominic Calvert-Lewin's new contract

Delighted Everton fans have been giving their reaction after the confirmation of a new contract for Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Early today, boss Carlo Ancelotti suggested talks were progressing well and things were getting "close".

He was certainly not wrong - as just hours later, the deal was sealed that will see him stay for another five years.

It is just reward for the superb season Calvert-Lewin is currently enjoying.

The 22-year-old has notched 13 goals in the Premier League already this term, as a dangerous forward partnership with Richarlison continues to build.

And it follows the news earlier this week of Mason Holgate putting pen to paper on a long-term contract that will keep him at the club until 2025.

And Blues supporters were quick to react as the ink dried on Calvert-Lewin's new deal.

Here is a round-up of what Toffees had to say on social media after the breaking news tonight:

Everton are back in action on Sunday afternoon as Ancelotti's men take on Chelsea.

The game kicks off at 2pm at Stamford Bridge, with the Italian hoping for a good result against the team he used to manage.
