Lionel Messi scored twice as Barcelona came from two goals down but had to settle for a draw against Valencia at Camp Nou on Saturday.
The Argentine started in attack alongside Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho, but coach Ernesto Valverde made changes to his line-up in midfield and defence, presumably with Wednesday night’s Copa del Rey semi-final first leg against Real Madrid in mind.
Like Barcelona, Valencia also made it though to the last four of the cup competition earlier this week and Marcelino’s men meet Betis in their semi-final first leg on Thursday.
