Barcelona vs Lyon
(Agrregate 0-0)
Uefa Champions League 2018-19 | Round of 16, second leg
Venue: Camp Nou, Barcelona
Date: Wednesday, March 13, 2019
Kick-off: 8pm GMT
Barcelona must hold their nerve on Wednesday night as they host Lyon in a must-win Champions League last-16 second leg.
Lionel Messi and Barca have made it their mission to recapture the trophy they last won in 2015, with Clasico rivals Real Madrid winning the famous cup for the past three seasons.
With Real out, it is a golden opportunity for Barca to reclaim the throne as Europe's top team - but a goalless first leg in Lyon means they must get a result at the Camp Nou to reach the quarter-finals.
Barcelona vs Lyon team news and predicted line-ups
Barcelona will be without Thomas Vermaelen (calf) and Rafinha (ACL), while Ousmane Dembele is a doubt after picking up a hamstring strain against Rayo Vallecano.
Barcelona XI: ter Stegen; Semedo, Pique, Lenglet, Alba; Busquets, Roberto, Rakitic, Arthur; Messi, Suarez
Lyon captain Marcelo is a doubt after picking up a leg injury at Strasbourg on Saturday. Coach Bruno Gensio will have Nabil Fekir back from suspension though, adding to his attacking options.
Lyon XI: Lopes; Dubois, Marcelo, Denayer, Mendy; Ndombele, Aouar; Traore, Depay, Fekir; M. Dembele
Score prediction: Barcelona 2-1 Lyon
While Barca are still on for the treble, their season has been a story of slow starts and many Messi rescues.
As with the Copa del Rey, an uninspiring first leg puts it all on a second-leg result for Barca - but Messi & Co. have shown time and again that they have the quality to get over the line.
Expect a Barca victory, but Lyon will make things difficult for them.
