One of the Champions League’s most memorable semi-finals was replayed tonight as Inter Milan returned to Barcelona. It more than lived up to its billing as the two sides played out a six-goal draw, with some of the highest-quality goals seen in the competition so far.
Inter opened the scoring with two stunners through Marcus Thuram’s backheel and Denzel Dumfries’ bicycle kick, but Lamine Yamal would pull Barcelona back into it shortly after, beating five men as he danced into the penalty area and curled a sumptuous shot beyond Yan Sommer. Ferran Torres would add another shortly after to ensure the match was level at the break.
The second half would be equally full of action. Denzel Dumfries would add another, heading home from Hakan Calhanoglu’s corner, before Raphinha would offer a piledriver deflected in off Sommer’s back to pull the hosts back level again.
