Barcelona vs Bayern Munich: New Champions League quarter-final format can help Barca, says Luis Suarez

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez believes the new Champions League format gives the Catalan club hope of beating Bayern Munich.

Suarez was on target from the penalty spot as Barca beat Napoli 3-1 on Saturday night to seal a place in the final phase of the competition in Lisbon, which starts next week.

Quique Setien's side will now face Bayern Munich in a one-off meeting in the last eight next Friday.

"In a one-off game, anyone has a chance," Suarez told Movistar after the win over Napoli.

"They are a great opponent, one of the candidates [to win the trophy], just like all eight teams in Lisbon.

"But you have play the games."

Barca had been preparing for the Napoli game since the end of LaLiga last month, and the Uruguayan forward admitted he was relieved to get that match out of the way.

"It's what we wanted," he said. "Now we have gone through, the important thing is to think about the next opponent."
