Barcelona vs Atlético Madrid: Match Preview, Live Stream, TV Channel, Start Time, How to Watch La Liga Online

The most important and decisive match of the Spanish soccer season takes place this Saturday at the Camp Nou when La Liga leaders Barcelona welcome second place Atlético Madrid for what is essentially the title decider for the defending champions, while the Colchoneros will look for a huge win that will set the league on fire.

Barcelona vs. Atlético

Date: Saturday, Apr. 6

Time: 2:45 PM ET

Venue: Camp Nou, Barcelona, Spain

TV Channel: beIN SPORTS

Streaming: fuboTV (watch for free)

Here is how things stand before kickoff: Barça is eight points clear at the top of the table with eight games left to play, which is already a big advantage. If they win on Saturday against second-place Atlético, Barcelona will open up an 11-point gap with seven games remaining and a very favorable schedule for the leaders, which means Barça can essentially lock up the title this weekend. With a massive Champions League quarterfinal against Manchester United and a potential semifinal against Liverpool over the next month, Barça would love to get the win this Saturday, become virtual Spanish champions and focus almost exclusively on their European season.

For Atlético, only one result matters a win. Even a draw, which is the most common result when these teams meet in recent seasons, doesn’t help because it doesn’t cut into Barça’s advantage. Diego Simeone has been pretty much owned by Barcelona in La Liga matches over the last five years, and the Blaugrana always seem to get the result they need against Atlético. To finally conquer Barça, at Camp Nou, and cut the leaders’ gap to four points and blow the league-wide open would be a huge deal for Atlético, and they are confident they can do it.

Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann will lead the attack for their teams and expect the two to be heavily involved and have a big impact on the final result. It’s the biggest La Liga game of the season and you won’t want to miss it.
