Barça are also without the injured duo Jordi Alba and Douglas while their new signings Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal, signed from Sevilla, cannot play until January but have made the trip to Tbilisi. Sevilla contest the Super Cup for the second year in a row, having successfully defended the Europa League last season, and again face Spanish opposition after losing 2-0 to Real Madrid 12 months ago.
