Barcelona transfer news: Bringing Neymar back to Nou Camp will be 'difficult', says Antoine Griezmann

Antoine Griezmann has said that bringing Neymar back to Barcelona will be “difficult”, with the Spanish champions currently working on a deal to re-sign their former player from Paris Saint-Germain.

Recent reports claimed that PSG have received a £90m offer, plus two players, for the 27-year-old. However, the club’s sporting director, Leonardo, denied that there had been a “concrete offer”.

Neymar remains keen to leave the French capital – PSG manager Thomas Tuchel recently admitted that he is aware of the Brazilian’s unrest – but it seems there has been no breakthrough in talks yet.

Griezmann, who completed his own transfer to Barcelona earlier this month, was full of praise for the forward but admitted there is still work to be done in securing his signature.

“We have to get it done first, because it is a difficult transfer,” he told Sky Sports.

“But he is a great player, he’s had a couple of injuries but is at an incredible level.

“We also have [Ousmane] Dembele, [Philippe] Coutinho and Malcom who are also important players for us and lets hope we can achieve great things with them.”

Dembele, Coutinho and Malcom were three of the players featured on Barcelona’s six-man list of potential exchange options as part of the deal to sign Neymar. But, as reported by Sky, PSG are looking to recoup the £198m they cashed out for the Brazilian two years ago.

As for his own role at Barcelona, Griezmann said: “I hope I will have an important role, I want to be an important player for the team and help in whatever way I can.

“As long as I enjoy playing with my team-mates and give it all on the pitch, it doesn’t matter.”
