Barcelona will present new signing Antoine Griezmann behind closed doors on Sunday as work continues on the laying of a new pitch at Camp Nou.

Griezmann completed a €120 million move from Atletico Madrid on Friday and the Catalan club later revealed that the French forward, who has signed a five-year contract, will be officially unveiled on Sunday.

After the traditional photo session at the Barca store at Camp Nou on Saturday at 21:00 CET, Griezmann will undergo medical examinations with the rest of the squad on Sunday ahead of the start of pre-season training on Monday.

The French forward will then sign his contract at 18:15 on Sunday, before a photo session in the stands at Camp Nou at 19:00, with only the media present and no fans able to attend due to ongoing works to replace the pitch at Barca's famous home.

Only part of the stadium was open for the presentation of Frenkie de Jong last Friday, with 19,850 fans in attendance to welcome the Dutch midfielder. Goalkeeper Neto, signed from Valencia, was then unveiled behind closed doors on Tuesday.

Barca presented midfielder Andre Gomes at the Mini Estadi (which is adjacent to Camp Nou) in 2017 due to works at the stadium, but the smaller venue is currently being used for tests ahead of the Cirque de Soleil show about Lionel Messi later this year.

It is also worth remembering that a sector of Barca fans shouted "Griezmann, bastard, out of Camp Nou!" at the French forward during Atletico Madrid's visit in La Liga in April, while some supporters also called for the resignation of president Josep Maria Bartomeu during De Jong's unveiling last week.

Griezmann will address the media at 19:30 on Sunday, following his photo session at Camp Nou.
