Barcelona ‘tell Man City to prepare for Bernardo Silva bid’ and more transfer rumours

Barcelona have told Manchester City that they will be submitting an offer for Bernardo Silva, according to reports.

Xavi is keen to bring in the midfielder, who was considering an Etihad exit last summer until Pep Guardiola convinced him otherwise. Barcelona club president Joan Laporta is also keen on the transfer.

Meanwhile, L’Equipe claims City are targeting Leicester defender Wesley Fofana, who has just seen a £62m bid from Chelsea for his services rejected. The centre-half is reportedly valued at around £85m.

Chelsea are expected to make another bid to ensure they beat City to his signature, it says, having lost Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.
