Barcelona target West Brom youngster; Leeds eye Liverpool winger - latest Championship rumours

Barcelona are closing in on West Bromwich Albion’s Louie Barry.

Sky Sports are reporting that Albion are keen to keep hold of their 15-year-old, but fear a move to the Nou Camp may prove too tempting to turn down.

The forward is believed to have attracted the interest of a host of top clubs after scoring 10 goals in five games for England U15s.

While Slaven Bilic is close to agreeing a deal to become Albion’s new head coach.

Sky Sports are reporting that a number of face-to-face meetings have taken place between Bilic and West Brom bosses over the vacancy.

And the deal is expected to be confirmed once a few legal issues have been addressed.

Leeds United are lining up a loan move for Liverpool’s Ryan Kent.

The winger spent last season on loan at Rangers, with Gers boss Steven Gerrard keen to re-sign the youngster this summer.

But according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Marcelo Bielsa is targeting the 22-year-old as he looks to build a side ready for a promotion push.

Reece Oxford is attracting the interest of West Bromwich Albion and Middlesbrough.

The West Ham defender had looked to set to join Augsburg this summer, but that deal looks to be dead after the Bundesliga club refused to add a clause that allows Oxford to leave in the event of relegation.

And as a result, the Telegraph is now reporting that the Championship pair are set to battle it out for the 20-year-old.

Derby County’s Luke Thomas is on the verge of leaving the club.

GloucestershireLive are reporting that the attacking midfielder is set to join newly promoted Barnsley.

The Tykes are expected to pay £1.2million for the 20-year-old's signature.

Robbie Keane has confirmed that Jonathan Woodgate has asked him to be part of his new coaching set up at Middlesbrough.

According to multiple reports in the media, Woodgate is expected to be announced as Boro's new manager in the coming days.

And speaking on the link up, the former Spurs man told the Irish Mirror: “I've been asked. I met them yesterday and flew into Dublin this morning.

"They want me to come in as assistant manager and it's up to me to think about it.”
