Barcelona target Gabriel Jesus as Luis Suarez replacement and more Man City rumours

Barcelona have identified Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus as their number one choice to replace Luis Suarez this summer - according to reports.

Suarez is expected to leave the club in the current transfer window following the appointment of Ronald Koeman as Quique Setien's successor.

Lionel Messi could also depart and is a target for City, though Barcelona are fighting to keep the superstar in Spain.

The Times report Jesus is a target for the La Liga giants as a replacement for Suarez and are also keen to sign Eric Garcia as well as Angelino.

MEN Sport revealed last week that reports suggesting Jesus could be included as a makeweight in a deal to sign Messi were wide of the mark. The Brazilian remains part of Pep Guardiola's plans and City have no interest in seeing him move to the Nou Camp.

Elsewhere, reports claim Kalidou Koulibaly won't force an exit from Napoli if City are unable to come to an agreement with the Italian side.

Koulibaly is a priority target for Guardiola but the two clubs are yet to agree on a fee for the Senegal international.

City are wary of dealing with Napoli after seeing a deal collapse to bring Jorginho to the Etihad Stadium last summer.

France Football report Koulibaly is open to move to Manchester and believe personal terms would not be an issue. Nevertheless, he is not prepared to submit a transfer request to force the switch.
