Barcelona star Luis Suarez reveals his thoughts on Liverpool supporters after reminiscing about his Anfield days

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has labelled Liverpool supporters as "the best" in the world.

The Uruguayan striker was a fans' favourite during his three-year stay at Anfield, establishing himself as a modern-day club legend.

Suarez scored 69 Premier League goals for the Reds during his time at the club before eventually signing for Barcelona after Liverpool narrowly missed out on the Premier League title under Brendan Rodgers in the 2013/14 season.

Suarez has often spoke in high regard about the support he received at Anfield since his move to Spain.

He once again reiterated that stance, labelling the Liverpool supporters as "the best" supporters in the world.

"I would say amongst the best," he told OTRO when asked to describe his relationship with the Liverpool supporters.

"They are amongst the best football fans because of all the love they always gave me during my time at Liverpool.

"They have always loved me and treated me exceptionally well. That's why they are amongst the best football fans in the world. For me, the best."

The 32-year-old striker claimed the Premier League golden boot during his final season at Anfield, whilst also winning the club's Player of the Year award.
