Barcelona star breaks silence after Liverpool defeat and Reds all send him the same thing

Following their crushing defeat to Liverpool at Anfield, Barcelona's players have been absent from social media.

Divock Origi and Gini Wijnaldum provided the goals which killed off the Catalan giants Champions League dream.

And after the stunning loss Ernesto Valverde's squad have been completely silent online.

That was until Arturo Vidal broke that silence by sharing a bizarre post on Friday afternoon.

The 31-year-old added a caption of emojis alongside the post which read: "Never give up".

Liverpool fans quickly noticed the baffling link to star goalscorer Mohamed Salah, as the Chilean opted to use the same phrase printed onto the t-shirt worn by the Egyptian on Tuesday.

Salah was unable to play following the concussion he suffered against Newcastle last weekend, but was on the pitch to take part in the celebrations as the Reds reached a second consecutive final.

And images of the Egyptian striker wearing the top quickly went viral.

Supporters then inundated Vidal with pictures of Salah in his famous top, there was even an edited image of Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard sent to the player.
