Everton are set to tie up the signing of midfielder Andre Gomes from Barcelona for around €25 million (£22.3m).
The Portuguese international spent last season on loan at Goodison Park and was keen to stay with the Toffees after his move to Barca from Valencia in 2016 failed to work out.
Gomes will now make his move to Everton permanent, with the Liverpool-based club to pay a fee in the region of €25m (£22.3m) plus add-ons for the Euro 2016 winner.
Barca are looking to sell several players this summer to fund their project for the 2019-20 season and Gomes will be the first to depart.
The midfielder cost the Catalan club €35m plus €4.5m in variables when he moved from Valencia in the summer of 2016, but struggled in his time at Camp Nou, where he made 78 appearances and scored three goals.
Still only 25, the Portuguese netted once in 29 games for Everton in 2018-19 and his transfer to Goodison Park could be completed later on Wednesday.
