Barcelona have denied they have agreed a deal to sign unsettled Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum.
The Dutchman, whose contract at Anfield is due to expire this summer, has long been touted for a move to the Nou Camp.
Barca manager Ronald Koeman is keen to bring his compatriot to the club having previously worked with the player with the Dutch national team.
With less than six months remaining on his current deal, Wijnaldum is free to discuss a pre-contract with any interested party, leaving Liverpool for nothing.
But with some reports already claiming an agreement is in place between the two clubs, the Catalans have moved to shut down these rumours.

Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo says Barcelona sources have told them the story is ‘not true’ although didn’t rule out the possibility of the move taking place.
The midfielder, 30, remains a regular starter in Jurgen Klopp’s side featuring 40 times already this campaign, scoring twice.
Joining the club from Newcastle in 2016, Wijanldum has played in key role in Liverpool’s recent rise, famously scoring twice in the Champions League semi final comeback against Barcelona in 2019
The Dutchman also started in the successful final against Tottenham and missed just one league game as the Reds claimed their first top flight title for 30 years 12 months later.
Wijanldum’s experience has also seen him trusted with the captain’s armband in the absence of Jordan Henderson and James Milner.
Having previously expressed a desire to remain at Anfield, his future remains uncertain with little indication of the club and player extending his stay with the Premier League champions.
Speaking ahead of the Champions League tie against RB Leipzig earlier this month, Wijnaldum provided little clarity about his future.
"So I would like to come with news, but the only thing I can say is that I am really happy at the club,” he told reporters.
"I am really with the team, the staff and I am really happy with the fans while I play. It is not that I am not happy that I have to leave or something.
"It's not that easy as everyone thinks to make some decisions for your future. You have to think about everything.
