Barcelona have taken action and sacked under-pressure manager Ronald Koeman, but how will that move impact Manchester United in the dugout?
The cash-strapped Catalans have picked up 15 points from a possible 30 in La Liga this season and were beaten 3-1 at Rayo Vallecano last night.
It was their third defeat in four games and Barcelona now sit ninth in the Spanish top-flight standings.
United are set to stand by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for the time being, at least, in the aftermath of the humiliating loss to bitter rivals Liverpool - at Old Trafford - on Sunday afternoon.
Both men are highly-regarded for their time as players at each respective club.
Antonio Conte, Brendan Rodgers and Ajax coach Erik ten Hag have been rumoured as potential candidates for the Old Trafford helm - should Solskjaer be unable to turn his fortunes around during an impending triple header against Tottenham, Atalanta and neighbouring Premier League champions Manchester City.
On first viewing, though, it appears as though United and the cash-strapped Catalans would be fishing in different waters for managers.
Barcelona legend Xavi - currently managing Al Sadd in Qatar - is the odds-on favourite to succeed Koeman. Belgium coach Roberto Martinez is also fancied by the bookies.
But rumoured United target Antonio Conte is seen as an outsider for the top job at the Nou Camp, with Ajax's Erik ten Hag and Leicester's Brendan Rodgers seen as more likely options than the Italian.
Here is how bookmakers SkyBet are pricing-up Conte, Rodgers, ten Hag and more possible successors to Koeman ...
