Barcelona have been praised by fans for their classy Hillsborough gesture ahead of the UEFA Champions League semi final second leg at Anfield.
The official Twitter account of the Spanish side shared a short but significant video of their club President laying a wreath at the stadium's memorial to the 96 who lost their lives at Hillsborough.
In the footage, Josep Maria Bartomeu is applauded by other officials as he lays the flowers on the ground before they all join each other in a moment of silence.
Many Barcelona fans responded with their own club's phrase "Mes que un club" which translated means; "More than a club" to show their appreciation for the gesture.
Meanwhile Reds fans also replied with messages of gratitude describing the post as 'classy'.

The tweet was accompanied by the message: "You'll never walk alone" and the footage was also shared on Instagram with the caption: 'Barca remembers Hillsborough'.
Meanwhile, on the pitch, Jurgen Klopp's side have it all to do if they are to reach the final after falling to a 3-0 defeat at Camp Nou last week.
