Barcelona rekindle interest in Chelsea man, Arsenal told to meet £29.8m release clause - rumours

We’re into the final weeks of the Premier League season and clubs are already starting to plan for the next campaign.

Manchester United need a squad overhaul and Arsenal want to strengthen their backline in the summer.

Chelsea will also be busy when the transfer window opens and a number of other top-flight clubs are preparing for early business.

Paul Pogba will continue to hog the headlines in the months ahead until his Manchester United future is resolved.

The midfielder has been heavily linked with a switch to Real Madrid and talk has intensified in recent days.

According to The Mirror the Spanish giants initially offered out-of-favour Gareth Bale and Marko Kovacic to United as part of a makeweight.

But United are now keen on Raphael Varane and Toni Kroos in a swap deal.

United continue to track Benfica starlet Joao Felix, too.

Liverpool and Manchester City are also into on the 19-year-old who has been in stunning form, scoring 18 goals and setting up 11 more this term.

Now Portuguese outlet Record claim City have held a meeting with the parents of the teenager over a possible Etihad switch, but United aren’t giving up.

Moussa Dembele is on the radar, too, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made Lyon aware of his interest, reports claim.

The 22-year-old has scored 20 goals in all competitions and L’Equipe report that United have made contact.

With Eden Hazard’s Chelsea future still uncertain, the Blues are hoping to strengthen their squad in the next window.

But Barcelona are preparing a £30million bid to finally land Willian, according to The Sun  - and losing him would be a major blow.

Also in the capital, Arsenal are the subject of interest from Barcelona as Alexandre Lacazette is on the radar.

A report in Mundo Deportivo claims the striker will be tracked if Antoine Griezmann rejects Barca for a second year in a row.

Lacazette has scored 35 times in 85 appearances in two years and is rated at over £50m.

And Getafe’s Djene Dakonam will be among the defenders considers when Unai Emery bolsters his backline.

The boss attended the La Liga match between Valencia and Getafe on March 18 not only to visit his former club but to run the rule over the Togo international.

The boost that could give Tottenham the upper hand ahead of Champions League second leg vs Ajax 

Djene, 27, has a £29.8million release clause in his contract and, according to the Spanish newspaper Marca, is on Arsenal’s radar.

One defender who will not be coming is Argentinean ace Nicolas Tagliafico.

The 26-year-old addressed Ajax supporters via the club’s official website with a message saying: “I want to tell you that I will stay for one more season’ which will come as a blow to the fifth-placed Premier League side.

Laurent Koscielny, who has long been linked with a move away from the Emirates, will also make his mind up over his future in the summer.

Elsewhere in the Premier League, Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly ‘submitted an offer’ for Porto striker Moussa Marega.

According to reports in France Wolves have made an offer for Marega, who has a €40million release clause, via super-agent Jorge Mendes.

Crystal Palace are reviving their interest in Everton midfielder James McCarthy, reports The Daily Mail.

And Palace are also among the clubs interested in Everton full-back Jonjoe Kenny as they brace themselves for a £35million offer from Manchester United for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Bournemouth’s goal-hero Nathan Ake is a £25million target for Napoli, report  Gazzetta dello Sport

And Hull City’s Jarrod Bowen is wanted by Bournemouth, Burnley and Southampton after his stunning campaign in the Championship, according to The Sun.
