Arsenal star Hector Bellerin could be on his way out of the Emirates Stadium.
According to the Mirror, Barcelona presidential candidate Joan Laporta is keen to sign the full-back should he get back into power at Camp Nou.
Bellerin is a stalwart in the Arsenal defence having initially signed from Barcelona as a youth talent in 2011, breaking through a couple of years later.
The 25-year-old has since racked up 170 league appearances but he is now being linked with a return to where it all started - at Barcelona - a switch that might be attractive given the Gunners' disappointing start to the season.
According to the report, sources in Spain have suggested a deal is in place between Laporta and Bellirin's camp with a fee of £22million plus add-ons being discussed.
Though, of course, a transfer could only go ahead if Laporta does indeed win his bid to be re-elected in the Barca presidential elections in the new year.
Barcelona themselves have had a disappointing season so far, though they have not suffered difficulties at the same degree as Arsenal.
Ronald Koeman's men are in fifth and eight points behind leaders Atletico Madrid, who have a game in hand still to play.
Barcelona could look to strengthen in January as a result, but according to the report, they will have to wait until the summer if they want to sign Bellerin.
It's claimed Bellerin will not leave the Emirates Stadium until at least the summer, unwilling to walk away from the club before the end of the current season.
The Barcelona-born 25-year-old is under contract at Arsenal until 2023, so Arsenal do have plenty of negotiation power if indeed Barca do end up coming in for the Spaniard, but it seems it's not an issue the Gunners will have to confront until at least next summer in any case.
