Barcelona president Bartomeu hints at Quique Setien exit after 8-2 Bayern thrashing: ‘Decisions will be made'

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu says 'decisions will be made' after the club's disastrous 8-2 loss to Bayern Munich on Friday.

The Catalans crashed out of the Champions League following a one-sided defeat in Lisbon, ending the season without a trophy for the first time since 2007-08.

"It's a very tough night," Bartomeu told Movistar after the game. "I'm sorry for the fans, for all of us. We weren't the team that we are or the club that we represent."

And he added: "Today was a disaster and now we will make decisions.

"Some of them we have already thought about.

"I won't say what they are. Some have been made and others haven't.

"Now is a time to reflect. From tomorrow, we'll try to lift the spirits of the Barca fans and next week, we'll make decisions."

Asked whether coach Quique Setien would be staying on, the president replied: "I prefer not to say the decisions today."
