Barcelona owe £84m for the transfer of Philippe Coutinho - and a grand total of £230m to other clubs, according to reports from Spain.
The Catalan giants signed Philippe Coutinho from the Anfield club back in 2018, splashing out £142million on the Brazilian, with a view to him replacing Andres Iniesta in midfield.
A large amount of this was paid up front, with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp reinvesting the money immediately in the likes of £75m centre-back Virgil van Dijk and £66m goalkeeper Alisson.
The rest of the money will be paid to the Reds in bonuses, with installments being triggered following certain milestones being hit.
According to Spanish publication AS, Barcelona still owe £84m for Coutinho.
It is not clear whether this amount is all related to bonuses, but £24m is said to be due in the short term, with £60m set to be paid in the future.
However, Barcelona club accounts state that the majority of this money is payable to a third party lender, with Liverpool set to receive just £4.5m.
It's not just Liverpool who are waiting on payments, with Barcelona reportedly owing clubs a total of £230m in transfer fees.
The purchase of Coutinho back-fired immensely on Barcelona, with the Brazilian failing to cement himself a place in the first team.
Much speculation surrounded him in the summer and he was eventually sent out on loan to Bayern Munich, where he has rediscovered his form somewhat.
