Here is your Arsenal morning digest on Monday, August 16.

Barcelona looking to offload Coutinho

Barcelona are rumoured to be offering midfielder Phillipe Coutinho to a number of clubs across Europe as they look to repair their disastrous financial situation.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, via the Mirror, Serie A side Lazio are one of the clubs Barcelona have offered Coutinho to, whilst “several” Premier League clubs – including Arsenal – have also been given the green light on a potential transfer.

Mikel Arteta desperately wants to add another creative midfielder to his team before the end of the transfer window, and Coutinho has been linked with a move to the Emirates in the past.

The Gunners reportedly pulled out of the race to sign the Sassuolo ace, but with Allegri keen to keep Ramsey in Turin, they may not need to sign Locatelli after all.
