Barcelona make Dembele decision, West Ham star to snub Man United - Premier League rumours

In an already eventful start to the summer transfer window, one that saw the likes of Eden Hazard leave for Real Madrid in a big-money move, the rumour mill hasn’t stopped turning since.

Top names have been with their blockbuster moves to the Premier League just in time for the much anticipated 2019/2020 season.

Here are the latest round-up of gossip from an array of sources.

Man City set to win Harry Maguire race

Manchester City look set to win the hunt to sign Harry Maguire from Leicester City.

The England defender has been linked with a move to both Man United and City but the Mirror now reports that Pep Guardiola is closing on his man.

Maguire, 26, prefers a move to the Etihad Stadium and a £65m move now seems possible as City look to replace Vincent Kompany.

Hammers tempt Diop with new deal

West Ham defender Issa Diop is set to be offered a pay rise amid growing interest from Manchester United, according to the Daily Mail.

In an effort to do all they can to keep the Frenchman at the London Stadium, the Hammers have also reportedly slapped a £60 million price tag in order to repel interest.

The 22-year-old signed on a five year deal from Toulouse last summer, and is said to be happy at West Ham despite interest from Man United.

Soyuncu on Galatasary’s radar

Turkish media outlet Ajansspor report that Foxes defender Caglar Soyuncu has attracted interest from Galatasaray.

According to reports, the Turkish champions are looking to bolster their backline and Soyuncu may be a perfect fit.

The 23-year-old has only made a handful of appearances this season and has ultimately failed to make a lasting impression on the Foxes’ faithful.

Liverpool refuse to budge on Fernandes bid

Liverpool have reportedly opted against the pursuit of Sporting Lisbon’s Bruno Fernandes after refusing to increase their £40 million bid.

According to the Echo, Lisbon wanted more cash up front for the midfielder but that is not something the Reds wanted to do.

The decision now leaves a clear path for Man United and Spurs to pursue the 24-year-old.

Barcelona opt to keep Dembele amid reported Liverpool interest

Barcelona chiefs have made their stance known on Ousmane Dembele’s situation and they have decided to persuade the young winger to stay at the Camp Nou, claim the Liverpool Echo.

The Frenchman had a difficult start to life at Barcelona but gradually improved throughout the campaign, and after meeting with the player’s agent, have opted to refuse Liverpool’s advances.

Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu even reportedly told Dembele following a meeting: “We are counting on you next season.”

Rice hints he would reject United move

According to the Metro, England midfielder Declan Rice wouldn’t be too keen on a move to Manchester United despite rumoured interest.

Rice, one of West Ham’s players of the season last campaign, has reportedly stated that he’s content at the London Stadium and wouldn’t want a move away to United due to their current situation.

The 20-year-old impressed last season for the Hammers.
