Barcelona make decision over Philippe Coutinho for Man Utd clash

Philippe Coutinho is set to start for Barcelona when the Catalan club host Manchester United in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final, despite Ousmane Dembele's return from injury.

The Spanish giants have a 1-0 aggregate lead over the Red Devils after Luke Shaw's own-goal gave Ernesto Valverde's side a crucial away win in the first leg on Wednesday.

Coutinho played 65 minutes of the first meeting at Old Trafford before being replaced by Arturo Vidal and is expected to keep his place for Tuesday's return leg at the Camp Nou.

The Brazilian started Saturday's league trip to Huesca on the bench as one of 10 changes from the side which beat United in midweek, with goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen the only player to keep his place.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: Man Utd must become legends in Barcelona - like we did in 1999

The game saw France winger Dembele make his first appearance in four weeks as the La Liga leaders were held to a goalless draw by bottom club Huesca.

The 21-year-old, who missed the first leg of Barcelona's Champions League quarter-final after suffering a hamstring injury during his side's 5-1 win over Lyon in the previous round of the competition, partnered Kevin Prince Boateng up front before he was replaced by Coutinho in the 67th minute.

However, with the match being the Frenchman's first in a month, it is expected that he will only feature as substitute when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men travel to Spain.

Sergio Busquets should be BANNED from Barcelona vs Man Utd, fumes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Despite not being at his best, Dembele came close to finding a breakthrough at El Alcoraz and his return will be seen as a huge postive for Valverde with the Catalan side targeting a treble.

Barcelona started the weekend with an 11-point lead at the top of La Liga and made the most of their advantage as Valverde handed starts to a number of young players.

Senaglese defender Moussa Wague and midfielder Riqui Puig both made their first appearances in La Liga with the reigning Spanish champions keeping one eye on Tuesday.
