Barcelona legend makes bold Premier League title race prediction after Liverpool's win over Chelsea

Legendary Dutch striker Patrick Kluivert has backed Liverpool to win the Premier League title ahead of rivals Manchester City.

Jurgen Klopp's side currently sit at the top of the table after a marvellous 2-0 win against Chelsea at Anfield on Sunday.

Sadio Mane got the party started for the Reds when he headed in from close range early in the second half.

Mohamed Salah swiftly followed up his team-mate's goal with a 30-yard wonder strike against his former club.

The Dutch legend, who won the Champions League with his boyhood club Ajax in 1995, made the bold prediction on Twitter.

Liverpool's Mohamed Salah cut Chelsea to pieces and ripped Sarri's game plan to shreds within minutes 

In a post the Cameroon assistant manager said: "I see LFC becoming this years Champions @PremierLeague".

The tweet from the former Barcelona forward received more than 10,000 likes.

Liverpool fans loved Kluivert's statement, one supporter replied: "Thank you legend."

Another response included: "Is right Paddy lad".

And one reply read: "Really hope you're right!"

While many fans were calling for the former Netherlands international's son to play for the Reds.

Justin Kluivert currently plays as an attacking midfielder for Roma, and one Twitter user wrote: "Get your son part of the revolution Pat mate".

Another fan added: "Bring your son to Anfield!"

With four games left to play Klopp's side sit two points ahead of Liverpool's Mohamed Salah cut Chelsea to pieces and ripped Sarri's game plan to shreds within minutes who have five matches remaining.
