Barcelona keeper calls Celtic Park one of the world's best stadiums

Barcelona keeper Marc ter Stegen has spoken of his admiration for Celtic Park.

The German goalkeeper was between the sticks in November 2016 when Barca left Glasgow with a 2-0 Champions League victory.

Barcelona were, of course, the visitors in November 2012 when Celtic recorded their memorable 2-1 win. That result came two years before ter Stegen arrived at the club.

Today on Twitter, the keeper took questions from fans. @DJPM95 asked him for his thoughts on Celtic Park, and ter Stegen responded: "One of the best football stadiums in the world! I would love to experience it again!"

@BelgiumTicket replied: "Once Fraser retires we would have a place available for you in goal, best place to experience Parkhead!".

The COVID-19 outbreak means there will be no football at Celtic Park for some time, and club captain Scott Brown has sent fans a message.

Brown said: "Everyone at the club is now right behind you. Thanks for everything you have given us, your health is everything. So we want you to do everything you can to stay safe.

"We know this is a really difficult time for so many people and we won't see for so long.

"But we want you to know that we will be back and we will be seeing you soon and we are looking forward to it.

"Look after yourself and lots of love from everybody at Celtic, we are right behind you. Take care."
