Barcelona have Mohamed Salah 'wish' as Liverpool 'interested' in £50m midfielder

After recently being linked with a move for Thiago Alcantara, latest reports have suggested that Barcelona have set their sights on signing another Liverpool player.

Mohamed Salah is the latest name to be linked to the La Liga side, though the club's financial situation is likely to hamper their chances of striking a deal.

The Egyptian forward remains an integral member of Jurgen Klopp's squad, and someone he will be desperate to keep hold of.

Barcelona boss Xavi reportedly wishes to sign Mohamed Salah 'at all costs'.

The La Liga giants, of course, bid farewell to Lionel Messi in the summer and have lost their way since his departure.

Xavi wants Salah to fill the void left by Messi 'at all costs', according to El Nacional.

The report adds that Barcelona are 'working in silence' to close one of the surprise signings of the summer.

Salah is out of contract at Anfield in the summer of 2023, with a new deal yet to be agreed.

Liverpool have reportedly fallen behind Chelsea in the race to sign Aurelien Tchouameni.

The Reds have been linked with the Monaco midfielder over the past few months, but are facing strong competition for his services.

According to Tutto Juve, Chelsea are ready to pay as much as £51.4m in order to sign the 21-year-old in the coming months.

Juventus have also been quoted as a possible suitor for Tchouameni, as have Real Madrid, Manchester City, along with Liverpool.

Liverpool are being linked with a move for on-loan Wolves striker Hwang Hee-chan.

According to the Mirror, the Reds are joined by Manchester City in showing an interest in the South Korea international.

Wolves have the option to sign Hwang on a permanent deal, with the striker currently on loan from RB Leipzig.

The report states that the Midlands club are considering making Hwang’s deal permanent in January, in order to avoid losing him to either Liverpool or Man City.

It has been claimed that Liverpool have 'watched' the 25-year-old many times, and see him as a player who can provide cover and competition for the likes of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Diogo Jota and Salah.
