Barcelona face two games in 72 hours as LaLiga confirm fixture schedule for return

Barcelona's fitness will be put to the test in a tough return to action in LaLiga as the Catalans face two games in 72 hours – starting with a trip to Mallorca on June 13.

Schedules for the first two matchdays after the lengthy break in action due to coronavirus were announced on Sunday night and the league leaders were handed a hectic start.

Quique Setien's side are away to Mallorca at 22:00 CET on Saturday, June 13, meaning they will not be back in Barcelona until late that night.

Barca then host second-to-bottom Leganes at Camp Nou exactly three days later in another 22:00 kick-off on June 16.

On Friday, Setien said he would like to have had more time to prepare for the return of LaLiga, with full group training only resumed this Monday – 10 days before the return of the competition.

By comparison, second-placed Real Madrid have slightly more time between their first two fixtures, with Los Blancos in action at home to Eibar on June 14 at 19:30 CET, before hosting Valencia at 22:00 four days later.
