Barcelona eye Raheem Sterling, Saul Niguez swap deal and more Man City transfer rumours

Barcelona are targeting a move for Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling this summer to continue their raid on the Premier League champions.

The La Liga side have already landed Sergio Aguero and Eric Garcia on free transfers and Italian football reporter Matteo Moretto has now stated that Sterling is also a target.

The England international saw a significant decline in form in the final months of the season, scoring just once in his final 16 appearances for Pep Guardiola's side.

That has led to speculation that the former Liverpool man could be on his way out of the Etihad Stadium this summer, with reports last month stating he has been transfer-listed by the club alongside fellow winger Riyad Mahrez.

How would Man City's perfect transfer window this summer look? Let us know in the comments below.

Barcelona are said to be interested in both of the pair, along with Aymeric Laporte and Ilkay Gundogan, but their financial limitations mean that any deal is likely to be part-exchange in order to reduce the costs of a transfer this summer - though it's not mentioned who they could offer City in return.

Elsewhere, Atletico Madrid are eyeing a move for Bernardo Silva and are prepared to offer Saul Niguez in return, the Times states.

Saul has been heavily touted for a transfer this summer having seen his playing time with the La Liga champions decline in the past year, with Manchester United among those to have been linked with a swoop to land his signature.

Atletico are said to value Saul at around €70m, a sum that is similar to the fee that City paid Monaco for Bernardo in 2017, and it opens the possibility of a swap deal with no funds exchanged.

Finally, Juventus are said to be eyeing City striker Gabriel Jesus as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo in the event that he leaves Turin.

Gazzetta dello Sport via Football Italia has the Brazilian among the names being considered for a transfer by the Italian giants, alongside Paris Saint-Germain's Mauro Icardi and Fiorentina's Dusan Vlahovic.

Jesus' future at the Etihad Stadium could be impacted by City's move for a new striker this summer and Juventus have seemingly put themselves on the waiting list for the player.
