Barcelona eye Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner
The Catalan club have been linked with several Chelsea players as they look to bolster their striking options, but ESPN report that Ziyech and Werner are in their sights.
New manager Xavi has been reportedly eyeing a move for Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling on loan in January, but the club has contingency plans for if the deal cannot go ahead.
That’s where Ziyech and Werner come in, with the pair said to be of interest to the La Liga side, who are without Sergio Aguero for the foreseeable future.
Ziyech has struggled for minutes so far this season, making cameo appearances and cup outings, whilst Werner has been out with an injury but has had to play behind Romelu Lukaku in the striker role.
Double injury blow
Chelsea have been handed worrying injury blows against Juventus with both N’Golo Kante and Ben Chilwell forced off the pitch.
The Frenchman, who was selected to start in the heart of midfield against the Italian giants, was withdrawn before half-time for the Blues and was replaced by Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
He went straight down the Stamford Bridge tunnel as the Blues lost one of their key players for the remainder of the tie against Juve. It was a similar story for Chilwell in the second period, as well.
Pochettino and Tuchel for Bellingham?
Both Chelsea and Manchester United have been linked with moves for Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Jude Bellingham in the past and a managerial appointment could potentially spark the interest yet again.
While no fresh links have emerged, the appointment of former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino could reignite that interest with the Blues having to move fast to land him if so.
