Barcelona enter Christian Eriksen race, Arsenal lead Thomas Lemar chase - Premier League rumours

Clubs around the Premier League have 7 more days to complete any business before the January transfer window closes.

The winter window has been open for 24 days and there could yet be plenty of deals before the deadline on January 31, both in England and across Europe.

Here, we round-up the day's latest transfer news from across the Premier League.

Barca enter race for Eriksen

Barcelona have become the latest club to register their interest in Christian Eriksen - although the Dane still looks set to join Inter Milan this month.

The Tottenham midfielder had set his heart on a move to Real Madrid last summer, but despite plenty of speculation, no official approach was ever made.

But now, according to Sky Sports, the Catalan giants have made an enquiry about signing the Denmark playmaker in the January transfer window.

Arsenal lead Lemar chase

Arsenal are leading the race to sign Atletico Madrid star Thomas Lemar, according to Spanish publication Marca.

Lemar joined Atletico a year later in a £60m deal but has failed to live up to expectations since moving to the Spanish capital.

Tottenham are also believed to have been keeping tabs on the situation but reports in Spain suggest the Gunners are at the front of the queue.

Klopp 'rejects Coutinho return'

Jurgen Klopp has reportedly rejected the opportunity to sign Philippe Coutinho according to the latest claims in Spain.

Following reports earlier this month that Bayern Munich will not sign the Brazilian permanently, Barcelona are said to be desperately trying to find a new permanent home for the playmaker.

According to El Desmarque, Coutinho was offered to Liverpool for €108m but Klopp has laughed off the idea.

Muriqi bid lined-up

Tottenham are preparing a move for Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muriqi ahead of the closure of the transfer window next week, Turkish outlet Aksam reports.

Jose Mourinho's side reportedly had an approach for the 25-year-old rebuffed at the beginning of the window but are looking to return with a fresh approach in the near future.

The Turkish club are demanding a fee in excess of £20million for the Kosovo international, who has scored 11 times in 17 appearances in the Turkish Super Lig this season.

West Ham eye

West Ham are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing Oliver Giroud in January, according to the Express via Hammers News.

Chelsea are reportedly open to the idea of selling Giroud if a club matches his £5m asking price.

Giroud has become surplus to requirements under Frank Lampard and also has also been linked with a move Inter Milan.
